Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is not in a hurry to replace his ex-wife Lilian Ng’ang’a after they officially parted ways weeks ago.
Governor Mutua who is serving his second and final term in office will also not change the name of their hotel A&L (Alfred and Lilian) which is located in Machakos county.
This comes as a blow to a number of women who have been camping on Mutua’s social media accounts sending him messages and crazy photos.
Mutua in an interview with a local media house also revealed that he first met Lilian 10 years ago while they were travelling aboard a plane.
“It was love at first sight for both of us. We just connected and went on to share great moments for the years we have been together,” he said.
According to him, during the relationship, everything worked so well and they both treasure the moments they shared.
Mutua did not disclose why they parted ways but said that the positive thing about the move is that they went public about their break-up and to date they enjoy great friendship.
“The reason we decided to go public is that everybody knew about us and the moments that we shared especially after she served as the first lady of Machakos County,” he said.
The Governor also said that former President Daniel Moi (now deceased) served Kenya for a period of 24 years without a wife.
He dismissed word that they were faking their relationship especially after he invited Lilian to his 51st birthday.
Asked on his advice to men on matters relationships, Mutua said that it was important for a man to love one woman at a time.
According to him, he had achieved that because of his Christian values.
“Have your woman and love her, and if you want someone else, leave her and go have that someone else,” he said.
According to him, having many women usually see the man being drained and risk contracting deadly diseases.
