Popular content creator and comedian David Oyando, commonly known as Mulamwah, has cancelled a sponsorship deal he promised a 21-year-old Vincent Mboya who went viral for asking comedian Felix Odiwuor, alias Jalang’o, and his radio co-host Kamene Goro to clear his accrued rent arrears.
This comes after Mboya asked Jalang’o to go for his money citing embarrassment he received when the radio presenter lectured him on the need to work his way out in ensuring he fend for his needs.
Mulamwah says he had agreed with him that he will foot expenses of recording two songs but the plan is off, thanks to his unfortunate utterances.
“I had earlier on met and promised on the video to help this guy record two songs with motiff. But following his abusive utterances after being helped by Jalang’o, I have revoked the plan which was already underway. Let’s learn to appreciate when helped, however big or small,” he said.
Mboya, in an interview, gave Jalang’o 48 hours ultimatum saying he is ready to go where he is and give back the Ksh18,000 he paid as his 3-month rent.
“Felix Odiwuor (Jalang’o), come for your money. I’m giving you 48 hours you come to collect your money. He can pin his location so that we meet and I hand him the cash,” he said.
Mboya said Jalang’o ‘advised’ him to work hard and stop seeking sympathy using unprintable words.
He said, though he was grateful to Jalang’o for the help he accorded him in clearing his rent arrears, the words Jalang’o used while advising him were unnecessary.
“I was so disappointed. I’m grateful that he helped me, but I don’t think telling me ‘work your a** off’ was necessary,” Mboya told local YouTube channel
