A police instructor based at the National Police College B Campus in Embakasi was on Monday, August 23, found dead at a quarry in Utawala, Nairobi.

Joseph Maghanga was discovered dead after a forensic analysis was conducted at the scene of the crime by detectives.

The deceased was found deeply injured on the face, according to the police OB report.

“The crime scene was visited by STAPOL and DCI personnel from Ruai and it was established that the body had a deep cut on the forehead. At the scene, two techno phones were recovered, one had a cracked screen. While the other had several missed calls,” OB report reads in part.

According to a police OB report, the murder report was done by Wilberforce Ambenyi, a Utawala resident.

Ambenyi told the police he saw a body of a male adult lying at a quarry near Eastern bypass opposite Tripple O.

The police station is 6 kilometres from the quarry

The crime scene was processed as the body of the instructor was taken to Kenyatta University Morgue awaiting autopsy.
