A middle-aged woman has told court that she is unable to fathom how her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend bit her nose during a fight over the said boyfriend.
The 24-year-old Naomi Narasha Nyangau who is a model by profession told Magistrate Esther Kimilu that she was badly injured by Lucy Wanjiru Kimiti, and that she is awaiting a second surgery to correct her disfigured nose.
It is alleged that on January 17, 2021, at Pronto bar in Upper Hill, as indicated in the charge sheet, Lucy Kimiti unlawfully inflicted grievous harm to Naomi over her ex-boyfriend.
In a police report seen by K24 Digital, David Masenge Nyangau who is a doctor at the Kenyatta National Hospital was in the company of his ex-girlfriend Lucy and his new girlfriend Naomi drinking beer at the said bar.
According to Lucy, she had visited her ex-boyfriend David at his house and left her bag which allegedly had Ksh30, 000 and her phone. When she went to collect the bag, she found him with another girl in the house and the money was missing.
She reported the matter at Kenyatta Police Post after which they were summoned and the matter was sorted amicably.
They then left the station and decided to unwind at the Pronto bar and restaurant.
As time passed, David went to the toilet and left the two women to mingle and bond, only to find them up in arms fighting.
“When he came back he found the two ladies fighting. Naomi, who is the complainant, was on the ground while the accused was on top beating her mercilessly. Lucy bit Naomi on the nose, and she started bleeding” read the cover report.
When the boyfriend was allegedly separating them, Lucy took a pool ball and hit David on the forehead, and he also started bleeding.
The three were jointly charged with disturbance, but Lucy was charged with an additional file of assaulting Naomi.
