Nominated Senator Victor Prengei dies in road accident

Nominated Senator Victor Prengei has this evening died after he was involved in a nasty road accident along the Kabarak – Nakuru road.

Nakuru County Police Commander Beatrice Kiraguri has confirmed that the Senator was heading towards Kabarak area from Nakuru town when the accident occurred at Gioto area.

He was rushed to Nakuru Level Five Hospital for medical attention where he, unfortunately, succumbed to the accident injuries moments later.

His colleague in the Senate Millicent Omanga has also confirmed the death while paying her tribute to the fallen leader.

“Rest well my colleague and friend Hon. Victor Prengei, Nominated Senator. We shall forever cherish your tireless efforts in fighting for and protecting the rights of the minority communities in our Nation. We have lost a great leader. My condolences to your family, friends and the entire Ogiek community,” she wrote on her social media handles.

Photos from the accident scene showed how his vehicle was badly damaged in the front area due to the impact caused by the crash.
