Wanja Mwaura is battling Covid-19.
Wanja, who came into limelight in 2017 after rescuing her former classmate who had become a drug addict, has been sharing her journey with Covid-19 in the past few days.
On Sunday, she posted: “I want to give up now. Done my best fighting. No longer strong enough to keep up the fight. I’m down to my very last. I need to rest from this pain and discomfort. I am tired.”
In a hospital test statement seen by K24 Digital, Wanja is suffering from Residual Covid-19 Pneumonia.
Kenyans of goodwill have Wanja quick recovery.
“Don’t give up, don’t let the devil take control. Have faith, may the healing power from the Almighty Lord visit you. Take it easy God is in control. This will be a testimony after the storm is over,” writes Kelvin Mukundi.
Joan Mbugua: “No!!! Take back those words dear! Giving up is not your portion! You got lots of work ahead of you and God knows that too. You are appointed to serve.”
The post has so far attracted over 8000 comments on Facebook.
In her latest post, she wrote: “Thank you dear ones for not giving up on me even when I had given up on myself. This fight is really tough. I’m still fighting. Its up n down. Keep praying for me. I’m unable to pick up your calls because I’m running out of breath when I talk. I’m still hanging in there.”
Wanja is admitted at a Thika Hospital.
