Kangudo road was rendered impassable by area residents who took to the streets to protest ongoing demolitions in the area.
The protests were fueled by a land tussle between Kiambu-Dandora landowners and a section of residents.
While the Kiambu-Dandora landowners claim ownership of the land, residents embroiled in the conflict argue that they acquired the land from National Bank.
A section of residents occupying the 2-acre piece of land, that was demolished, says their woes began when they were approached by private developers who wanted to buy the land and erect a shopping mall and a fuel station on it.
They say upon refusing to grant them their wish, they started facing it rough.
The piece of land is surrounded by 818 acres of land that is occupied by several estates including Umoja3, Molemn and Sosian. The same estates have faced similar tussle in the last 3 decades.
Residents are now appealing to government to come to their aid and have the issue solved.
