Students at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology in Kakamega Town woke up to a shocking incident on Monday, when they found the body of a Third Year female learner lying in a pool of blood inside her rented house.

It is suspected that Fauzia Adan Ibrahim, 22, succumbed to excessive bleeding after terminating a pregnancy.

Friends of the Late Bachelor of Disaster Management student said she looked weakly in the three days preceding her death.

Kakamega Central OCPD, David Kabena, said police have begun investigations into the cause of Fauzia’s death.

Fauzia’s body was taken to Kakamega County Referral Hospital mortuary.
