Former British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) journalist Chris Makena has refuted claims that she is dating Michelle Ntalami.

Speaking in an interview on Radio Jambo, Makena termed Michelle as a very good friend and not her wife.

“It is a very big mistake to say that Michelle Ntalami is my wife. My relationship with Michelle is that we are very good friends,” she stated.

She further noted that she lives her life openly and if need be, she will introduce her wife to the public.

“I live my life very openly. If it comes a time when I will need to introduce my wife publicly, I will,” she added.

The CEO and founder of Bold Network Africa noted that the movement was formed mainly to educate people on matters LGBTQ and accelerate the acceptance of LGBTQ members in society.

“Bold movement aims to educate people and accelerate acceptance,” she affirmed.

Makena publicly announced that she is a lesbian while speaking as a guest on the TEDx Talks channel in May.
