A four-year-old boy who went missing five days ago has been found following a rescue operation conducted by DCI detectives.

Baby Liam Ngushwa Mwangi, who went missing on June 2, in Murang’a, was found at a house in Naivasha.

It is believed that the boy was kidnapped by his grandparents and a houseboy.

The four-year-old boy has been reunited with his parents who have spent sleepless nights looking for him.

A report on his missing was filed on June 2 at Kirwarwa Police Station in Gatanga, Murang’a County.

His distraught parents had launched an online appeal since then requesting members of the public to share any helpful information regarding his whereabouts.

Missing baby Liam has been found.

Baby Liam’s parents disclosed that their son had been last seen in Thika, in the company of one Charles King’ori alias Delvin Maina who was their houseboy.

A successful search operation was launched by detectives drawn from Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau unit in conjunction with their Special Service Unit counterparts.

They managed to rescue the baby but its captors escaped narrowly. Police are still pursuing them.
