Sensational Tanzania’s award-winning artist Naseeb Abdul Juma alias Diamond Platnumz has made history as the first East African singer to acquire Cadilac Escalade whose value is estimated at Ksh70 million, according to his close allies.

The rumour of the Bongo sensational acquiring the full-size luxury SUV emerged a few days ago after his manager shared a video of him at a car showroom overseas.

South African based socialite Zari Hassan, who is Diamond’s baby mama, on Friday confirmed that the artist had acquired the vehicle in a video shared by the singer’s close allies.

Zari, who is in Tanzania to work on her personal business, recorded herself in the vehicle having some good moments as the Bongo artist watched over from outside.

“This car is so beautiful, I love it… I totally love it,” she says in the video before telling Diamond “congratulations”.

Wasafi Fm presenter Revokatus Kipando alias Baba Levo, who is a close friend of Diamond, says the Bongo artist parted with Ksh70 million to acquire the vehicle.

The presenter claims the Waah hitmaker showed him the receipts of the vehicle.

Diamond is a known lover of fine things in life and acquiring the car puts him ahead of his equals in the music industry.

Being a mediapreneur, record label CEO and owner of several houses in Tanzania, the Bongo artist is building an empire that is unmatched in East Africa.

However, reports indicate that the vehicle is not new as claimed by Diamond’s close associates.

Tanzania’s gossip personalities say the car was bought from Omary Bakhresa, a son to the owner of Bakhresa Group, and not fresh from its manufacturers or distributors.

Omary is one of the very few people who owned the car in East Africa, thanks to his father’s vast wealth.

Bakhresa Group is an industrial conglomerate based in Tanzania. Owned by an entrepreneur and Tanzanian billionaire Said Salim Bakhresa, the business is one of the largest in the region.

He is the owner of Azam media, Azam football club and several other products such as wheat and maize flour companies, carbonated drinks, petroleum products, biscuits and bakery products among others.
