Popular Churchill Show comedienne Sheila Jemutai Koitie, popularly known by her stage name as Jemutai, has sought the help of renowned blogger Edgar Obare to put her Facebook Page on sale over financial constraints.
Screenshots of their conversation, which were shared by the blogger on his Instagram Insta story, showed the comedienne informing Obare that she is unable to foot her bills due to economic difficulties.
Jemutai opened up that she has lots of rent arrears and she is unable to make ends meet.
She says the sale of the FB page will enable her to start a business and fend for her family needs.
“Good morning Edgar, my name is Jemutai. I am a comedian and a mother of two. I am a single mother and life is becoming even harder every day. I have lots of rent arrears.
“I have another choice so I am selling my Facebook account to anyone. It is a business account and it has over 850,000 followers. It goes for 2 bob per follower. I want to start a business and take care of my kids,” read a message from Jemutai to Edgar.
A year ago, the comedienne called it quits comedy to focus on a white-collar job she had just got.
In an interview, the comedienne said she secured a job at Musti Investment Limited as the marketing manager.
“I had sent numerous applications and I was luckily called by Musti Investments for the job. We market the plots and sell them and I love this job,” Jemutai told a local news site.
It is not clear yet what went wrong since then that she is where she is now.
Many Churchill Show comedians have found themselves in a difficult situation during this Covid-19 season.
Daniel Ndambuki, alias Churchill, could no longer provide them with the platform where they used to perform and earn something following a ban on public gatherings.
The proprietor embarked on a journey series edition where he meets notable celebrity, per show, to have a recap of his or her journey to success to keep his show going.
