Video footage of pupils of Zombo Upper Primary School in Zombo district, Uganda, escorting their teacher to the office of the District Education Officer has emerged on social media.

Reports indicate that the teacher was taking liquor in a bar when the group of pupils stormed the joint, pulled him out and dragged him to the education office.

The incident happened on Wednesday, April 28.

Preliminary information indicates that the teacher was sipping alcohol at a time when he was supposed to be in class teaching.

The 33 seconds video footage shared on social media showed the teacher being pushed by the primary school kids to the Zombo District Education Office.

The video, recorded by phone, showed the teacher trying to force his way back but a group of male pupils were on his kneck pushing him forward until they arrived at the education office.

The pupils move sought to have disciplinary action taken against the teacher who is, reports say, fond of absconding duty and always on a drinking spree.
