The owners of the ship that ran aground and blocked the Suez Canal for nearly a week say it has not been given permission to leave the waterway.
The Ever Given has been moored in a lake on the canal since it was dislodged in a major operation last month.
The Egyptian authorities said recently the vessel would not be allowed to depart until an investigation was completed, and compensation paid.
The blockage of the waterway caused delays to huge numbers of ships, and insurance pay outs associated with the grounding are expected to run into hundreds of millions of dollars.
