Internet and mobile phones have eased the hustle of getting one’s electricity bill.
In a bid to help electricity consumers keep track and pay for their energy bills, Kenya Power introduced digital platforms to ease the process.
Here is how to check your electricity bill via SMS
¬ Open your messaging application and create a new message.
¬ Enter the recipient number (KPLC) 95551.
¬ Enter the first part of your account number as the message i.e. 564898 for an account number 564898-01.
¬ You will receive an SMS message from KPLC’s E-bill system with your electricity account details.
Note:
• The SMS is charged at Sh 5 normal SMS rates.
• The E-bill service works for all phone networks in Kenya.
How to check your electricity bill via USSD
To access a wide variety of KPLC pre-paid services such as buying tokens and checking your latest token refill, dial *977#.
How to check your electricity bill via E-mail.
¬ Send a blank e-mail to the address [email protected]
¬ Put the first part of your KPLC account number in the e-mail’s subject field i.e. 564898 for an account number 564898-01.
¬ KPLC E-bill service will send an automatic reply to your e-mail address.
One can also access KPLC services via the Kenya Power – Self Service
