A tout who recently confessed to imbibing a concoction of drugs, including smoking bhang, so that he can be attracted to older women, now claims that his life is in danger.

Wycliffe Aloys Orinda told the court that he fears for his life in remand because his cellmate is Lawrence Warunge, the university student accused of wiping out four family members in the Kiambaa gruesome killings that shocked the country earlier this month.

Orinda appeared on Thursday, January 28, before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku in his “innerwear” and also shoeless, and informed the court that his belongings were stolen while in remand.

“Your honor, they took my shoes and trouser and I am being held with another suspect who killed five family members. I am scared my life is in danger,” Orinda said.

He told the magistrate that he wants to be freed because the remand “is not a good place” and that he misses his Blue Ice drink.

Following a request from the probation officer, Diana Mwangangi, the magistrate ordered Orinda to undergo a mental examination at the Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital in Nairobi.

Earlier this month, Orinda pleaded guilty to a charge of creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.

He was accused of storming his wife’s workplace in the city centre where he caused a raucous, demanding to be allowed to see his children after he had spent a short stint in police custody.
