By Nyaboga Kiage,

An armed civilian who has been terrorising members of the public on Thursday evening surrendered to the police in Githurai, Kiambu County.

In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) revealed that the civilian first confessed his sins to a Githurai-based pastor who advised him to surrender.

“Owing to our sustained onslaught on criminal elements, one suspect has mended his ways and surrendered his firearm to our officers in Githurai. Earlier, the suspect turned man of God had confessed his sins before a Pastor in Githurai, sought deliverance and promised to be of good behavior,” the statement read in part.

The DCI asked other criminals to emulate the example that had been shown by the reformed criminal before the long arm of the law catches up with them.
