Residents of Ingotse in Navakholo, Kakamega County are demanding disciplinary action to be taken against two police officers.

This is after the vehicle that the police officers were travelling in crashed into a church building, damaging part of the wall.

According to local residents, a female police officer was being trained on how to drive by a male colleague.

They said the vehicle was being driven at high speed when the trainee policewoman lost control and rammed into the church.

But the residents accused the policeman of having been drunk after pulling him out of the car, a fact that could not be confirmed by K24 Digital at the time of going to press.

The residents now want the police officers and the Navakholo Police Station to fund the rebuilding of the church.

No one was injured during the incident.
