Covid-19: Deaths of Kenyans in the diaspora rise to 23

There are 86 Kenyans in the diaspora who are receiving treatment for Covid-19, with four of them in the intensive care units.

Another 77 have recovered from the deadly disease.

Deaths of Kenyans in the diaspora also increased to 23 on Sunday, May 10, following fatalities reported in South Africa and Sweden.

According to the head of communications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 10 Kenyans have died in the US, six in the United Kingdom, two in Italy, one each in Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, South Africa and France.

As of May 10, 191 Kenyans in the diaspora have contracted Covid-19.

At home in Kenya, 672 people have contracted the virus with fatalities rising to 32 following the death of two patients in Mombasa County.

So far, Kenya has tested 32,097 samples with the government adopting targeted mass testing.
