This was announced on Sunday, April 26, by Health Cabinet Administrative Secretary, Dr Rashid Aman, who noted that the number of recoveries has also surpassed 100.

“We have discharged eight patients bringing recoveries to 106. Recoveries are steadily going up while fatalities have stagnated at 14,” said Health CAS Aman.

Eight of the new Covid-19 cases were reported in Nairobi County, with cases in Karen, Kibera, Dandora, Kasarani and Umoja estates.

In Mombasa County, Dr. Aman said that the cases were reported in Mvita, Mishomoroni, Mvita Bondeni and Barsheba.

Three of the 12 cases had a history of traveling from Somalia.

Further, Dr. Aman said that the national government has directed the testing of truck drivers at all border crossing points and the commencement of training of trainers in the counties.
