Coast police boss Rashid Yakub on Tuesday said that the police officer who was caught on video demanding bribes from boda boda riders has been dismissed.

Mr. Yakub said the officer, who is based in Magarini Sub-County in Kilifi County, will also be arraigned and charged.

During the altercation with the boda boda riders, the policeman drew his gun and demanded a bribe from his victims who protested that they had already paid him.
