Vera Sidika throws major shade at Huddah over her comments on reality TV shows

Veteran socialite Vera Sidika has thrown shade at her fellow socialite and entrepreneur Huddah Monroe over her recent remarks about reality TV shows.

Taking to her official Instagram on Thursday, January 23, 2025, Vera, who seems not pleased with Huddah’s comment in a series of Insta posts questioned why she claims to hate reality shows yet she was featured in one of the highly watched African reality TV series a decade ago.

Vera went on to say that it is wrong for the socialite to judge people watching reality shows urging her to keep off peoples’ business and let them watch what gives them pleasure.

“How someone claims to hate reality shows so much, yet was in one 10 years ago is diabolical Oh & being Evicted 5 days later is nasty work.

“Judging people for watching reality shows ain’t crazy much??? Yet u been in one before and it backfired??? make it make sense. Better yet just be quiet & mind your business,” Vera posted.

In addition, the bubbly socialite advised Huddah to watch Discovery Channels if she wants educative programs adding that she is not in the position to judge reality TV series lovers.

“If you have been in a whole reality show you should not be the one to judge people for watching it. Just Drink water and mind your business. Especially when it backfired on you

“FYI;(for your information) if you wanna watch educative stuff pls go to the Discovery channel, and let trash TV lovers enjoy. Everyone wants a good laugh after a stressful day at work. school. It’s Purely for entertainment Watu wa church waende kwa pastor Ng’anga,” she added.

Huddah’s remarks

Huddah on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, in a post on her Instastories, put reality TV show fanatics to task for their love of the unscripted series.

She questioned whether the reality shows they have watched changed or had an impact on their lives.

“In all honesty after watching all these Reality shows, how did it change your life? Did you learn anything? Did it have an impact on your life,” Huddah posted.

Huddah on Kenyan reality shows

In August 2024, the beauty queen while engaging her fans in a question-and-answer session on Instagram responded to one of her fans who asked her why she has not been featured in any local reality shows disclosing that Kenyan producers can not pay her enough as a cast member.

 They can’t pay me enough. Actually, they can, but they refuse to,” she responded.

In 2013 Huddah was featured in the reality TV show dubbed Big Brother Africa, she was among the housemates representing Kenya during the eighth season of the show where she became the second housemate to be evicted on the seventh day after receiving 2 out of 15 votes to save.
