Ugandan socialite, entrepreneur, and reality TV star Zarinah Hassan, alias Zari the Boss Lady has added her voice to the ongoing debate about the Kenyan social media influencer ideal cast for Netflix’s reality TV series dubbed Young, Famous and African.
Zari who is currently in Kenya for an influencing gig in an interview with entertainment presenter Silva Kido named some of the social media influencers she thinks would make a perfect fit for the hit show.
The reality TV star noted that in Kenya she would prefer veteran socialite Vera Sidika because she is pretty, has a curvy body and vibes like the current cast, adding that she fits perfectly in their circle.
In Tanzania, the mother of five said that she would like to see bongo singer Zuchu being part of the reality TV cast since her being there would stir things up considering her rumoured boyfriend Diamond Platinumz is one of the cast members.
However, Zari stated that she would not vouch for Tanasha Donna even though they are friends noting that the singer is so quiet, and reserved and the show needs someone with a dramatic personality.
“Vera would look good on our show I feel like she is pretty she brings the whole nyash and I think she can throw some jabs she looks like us.
“Let us have Zuchu, having Zuchu on the show I need her to sit there and look at Diamond ‘What do you say am your artiste?’
“Tanasha is very pretty but she is so reserved, I speak to Tanasha and the kids call each other but she is this nice quiet girl and that show needs people who are (loud)but Tanasha seems to be so lane and I kinda feel like Zuchu coming on the show would stir things up all over sudden,” Zari revealed.
In addition, Zari stated that the reality TV series portrays someone’s real character and not what they showcase on social media adding that the show is not scripted.
“Reality TV series is not just about who you are on social media once the camera starts rolling because it is a reality I have seen people becoming different,” she added.
