Tanasha Oketch says she is not bothered after a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 that Diamond Platnumz gifted her on her 24th birthday last year was repossessed by the musician.
The high-end vehicle has since been given to Diamond’s mum Sanura Kassim.
Speaking in an interview with True Love Magazine editor Carole Mandi, Tanasha said the “snatching” of the car from her, has not inconvenienced her in any way, given she has her own vehicle.
“The car is in Tanzania; I had no interest in taking it. I have my car, my BMW. I am not going to leave a relationship, and say I am going to take this car, or I am taking this. I can get myself a car, I can get myself what I need,” said Tanasha Oketch in a video recording uploaded to YouTube on April 1.
In mid-March 2020, Diamond Platnumz’s mother took ownership of the V8 that her son had gifted his ex-lover.
The revelation was made by Diamond’s close friend Juma Lokole.
Lokole said despite Diamond handing the vehicle over to Tanasha in July last year, he had registered it under his mother’s name.
The information came to light when a curious fan asked Lokole if Diamond would sell Tanasha’s car.
“The car is still there. Why should it be sold? Nasib (Diamond Platnumz’s real name) is not the kind of a person who sells his property,” Lokole said.
Asked why Tanasha did not retain ownership of the vehicle, Lokole said the car did not belong to her.
“Why should Tanasha leave with the car? The car belongs to Mama Dangote,” he said.
In the same interview, Tanasha Oketch candidly opened up on why she left Diamond Platnumz.
