Political activist Morara Kebaso has hit out at Kasmuel McOure following his meeting with President William Ruto.
Kasmuel met the head of state during a church service in Ainabkoi, Uasin Gishu County, on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
In a statement via his X account on Sunday, December 22, 2024, Morara accused him of betraying the trust of young Kenyans who had rallied behind him and his active criticism of the government.
“Oh my God. Kasmuel, why? Why? Why? Is it money? Si ungeanza any biz, we support you? Kasmuel McOure, you have hurt Kenyans who believed in you in a way that you will never ever imagine,” Kebaso wrote in a strongly worded statement.

Kasmuel gained prominence during the June 2024 Gen Z-led anti-government protests for his outspoken criticism of the Ruto administration.
Representing Raila?
Earlier, Kasmuel claimed in a viral video that he attended the A.I.C Kipkorgot church event as a representative of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The youthful political activist, known for his strong ties to Raila and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, has faced criticism from some Kenyans over this association. Despite this, he has consistently defended his alignment with Raila and the ODM party.
In November 2024, Kasmuel reaffirmed his commitment to ODM after meeting Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, who encouraged him to mobilize more young people to join the party.
“If you’re willing to join a substantive political movement for a fair, democratic Kenya where everyone can live with dignity, consider ODM – the largest pro-people party in East and Central Africa! We’re revitalizing the youth and students’ leagues and are calling on passionate young Kenyans to help shape our future. Stand with us!” Kasmuel shared in a statement on his X account.
He pledged to spearhead an extensive youth registration drive, emphasizing that ODM is not just a party of the present but also the future.
“We will go out in an outreach like never before. We will register not only the educated but also the uneducated people and those in the technical institutions and ensure that this is the party that they will join. Every Kenyan is a member of ODM just by virtue, and that is why we will go on a massive, rigorous registration of the young people to come and bring them to the party of the present and the future,” he said.
