President William Ruto has led the nation in mourning the death of Anne Nanyama, Speaker Moses Wetang’ula’s mother.

In a statement on Friday, December 20, 2024, Ruto described the deceased as an industrious lady who helped mould the character of her children including Wetang’ula and Westlands Member of Parliament (MP) Timothy Wanyonyi.

Ruto prayed for comfort to their entire family as they came to terms with the death of their mother.
