Reggae and Roots sensation Etana has announced a new date for her performance in Kenya, days after her planned show was unceremoniously disrupted.

Speaking to K24 TV on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Etana announced that her show would take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Embassy Bistro along Thika Road.

Etana lamented that her show was disrupted by people who were envious that her show had pulled a bigger crowd, and even opted to force some of her fans to the alternative show created a couple of days before hers.

“Someone decided to drop another show right next to my show and when tickets didn’t sell for that show they decided to block my show from happening,” she stated.

My show was being promoted long before theirs. A promoter will never take the chance of putting a show next to another one and expect it to be successful. That does not stop me from being who I am. It does not stop me from creating music, it doesn’t stop me from performing and so on 14th December 2024 at the Embassy Bistro we should be live and direct, top of the fire.”

Etana says there will be a lot of surprise performances especially from local artistes.

“There will be a lot of surprise performances from local artistes,” she added.

During the show sponsored by K24 TV, which is owned by Mediamax Network Ltd, fans who had paid for the previous show will not be charged. Other fans who would wish to attend the show will, however, be required to purchase new tickets.

“If you had a ticket from the last (disrupted) show take it to the new show and it will be honoured,” she said.
