Just moments after Donald Trump declared victory in the just concluded US polls after he had captured Pennsylvania, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has joined other Kenyan leaders in sending congratulatory messages to him.
Taking to his official X account on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, Gachagua termed Trump’s self-declared victory as one of the greatest political comebacks of the current generation.
Gachagua further stated that Trump’s victory is clear proof that resilience and a never-say-die attitude would always trump obstacles on the path of someone’s destiny.
“Congratulations President Donald Trump, for one of the greatest political come-backs of our generation. Your victory is clear proof that resilience and a never-say-die attitude will always TRUMP obstacles on the path to your destiny. God Bless You. God Bless America,” Gachagua stated.
Gachagua joins other several Kenyan political leaders who have also taken to their official social media accounts to congratulate Trump.
Waiguru’s message
Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru is one of the leaders who have already penned their congratulatory messages.
Waiguru in a statement shared via her official social media accounts on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, congratulated Trump for having been overwhelmingly elected as the 47th president of the United States of America.
Waiguru at the same time sought to comfort Trump’s challenger Kamala Harris, stating that she had run an impressive campaign and fought the good fight.
“Congratulations President Donald Trump on your election as the 47th President of the United States. I wish you success as you lead the nation forward. To Vice President Kamala Harris, you ran an impressive campaign and fought the good fight. Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and his Embakasi East counterpart Babu Owino are some of the lawmakers who were the first to send congratulatory messages to Trump.
