Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has yet again disclosed the amount of money he earns from his YouTube channel months after joining the entertainment industry.
Salasya, who is currently giving digital content creators a run for their money, on Monday, October 28, 2024, appealed to his followers to help him find a white cougar while flaunting YouTube royalties via his Instagram account.
The youthful parliamentarian stated that the amount of money he makes after monetizing his channel is a lot and that he needs a white woman aged 45 years and below with whom they can enjoy the royalties together.
He went on to say that currently, he uses the royalties to purchase chicken feeds.
“Sahizi pesa ya chakula ya kuku iko in dollars munipeko form ya mzungu mumama mzee wa 45yrs and below sasa hizi dollars ni mingi siezi maliza peke yangu,” Salasya disclosed.
YouTube Royalties
The Salaysa TV channel has 15,119 subscribers so far and had over 362,300 views in the past 28 days. On revenue, the humorous parliamentarian has made USD127.87, which is equivalent to Ksh16,500.34.
On September 20, 2024, Salasya who was thrilled to find out he could make money out of comedy disclosed that his channel made Ksh5,647 and over 170,000 views with only 8,659 subscribers.
In addition, Salasya requested his followers to subscribe to his channel so that they could enjoy the royalties together.
“My Salasya TV YouTube channel is now making dollars. So I can make money out of comedy? Subscribe to my channel so we can enjoy this YouTube money together,” Salasya said.

In March 2024, the legislator announced his plans to start a YouTube channel and asked a willing professional social media manager to consider offering him channel management services with a monthly salary of Ksh 20,000.
Outlining the job description, Salasya stated that he would be doing the stunts to create content and the manager’s work will be to post on the channel.
“I’m looking for a professional person who can open a YouTube channel and post for me. Yangu itakuwa kutoa Kiki yeye ni kupost. I’ll pay them KSh 20,000 per month as a starting salary,” Salasya announced.
Since joining the entertainment industry as a part-time digital content creator, Salasya has attracted both love and criticism from his online activity, a demeanour that has not been traditionally associated with Kenyan political leaders.
