Bradley’s fame

The 27-year-old, who stands at 8 feet 2 inches and hails from Majengo, Vihiga County, gained popularity for his towering height during the Gen Z protests that rocked the country.

In a recent interview, Marongo recalled how he landed in Nairobi from Vihiga and his life challenges.

“My friend Mose, who works with one of the buses plying the Nairobi-Western region routes, invited me to come with him to Nairobi. He told me he was an upcoming artiste shooting some of his music videos but was yet to break into the mainstream music scene,” Marongo said.

“I sat on the floor mat along the aisle towards the driver’s side,” he said, adding that it was an impossible task finding a bus designed for people like him.

The internet sensation also disclosed how difficult it has been for him to find clothes and shoes that fit. He also revealed that he had never worn a closed shoe and had been rocking only two pairs of custom-made sandals.

“Getting clothes that fit is a nightmare. When I go to the market, individuals stare at me, wondering where this tall person has come from,” he said.

He also revealed that he was a father of two daughters and had worked as a tout in Nairobi before gaining fame.

His unique statue has attracted brand and business deals.
