Kenyan news anchor Mashirima Kapombe and her family have been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of her mother.

Taking to her social media platform on Thursday, September 26, 2024, Mashirima shared the heartbreaking news with her followers.

Mashirima went on to say that she is broken after losing her mother.

“Broken. Eternal rest grant unto mum Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she Rest in peace. Amen!” Mashirima wrote.

However, the cause of her death has not yet been disclosed.

Kenyans have rallied in support of the renowned journalist, sharing heartfelt condolences following the loss of her mother.
