Huduma Centre has announced the introduction of sign language interpreters in select centres.
This comes as part of efforts to address communication challenges among various communities and tackle issues effectively for enhanced service delivery.
According to Huduma Centre, 20 areas including Nairobi will be equipped with interpreters to enhance the smooth flow of communication.
Below are some of the centres with sign language interpreters.

- Siaya
- Nakuru
- Kakamega
- Vihiga
- Makadara
- Bungoma
- City Square
- Eastleigh
- GPO
- Homa Bay
- Isiolo
- Kibra
- Kilifi
- Kirinyaga
- Kisumu
- Laikipia
- Marsabit
- Nyeri
- Samburu
The latest comes as the government ramps up efforts to smoothen service delivery in Huduma Centres.
Weeks ago, Immigration and Citizen Services Principal Secretary Julius Bitok confirmed the rollout of live capture equipment in Huduma Centres and the National Registration Bureau (NRB) county offices countrywide to facilitate quicker production of ID cards.
“It will now take you not more than ten working days from the date of application down from at least 21 days to get your ID. We want Kenyans to acquire their IDs as quickly and conveniently as possible,” he said while speaking at Katoloni, Machakos County.
With the move, Kenyans in need of new ID cards will get the document within ten days starting in October.
