Fans have been buzzing with curiosity after noticing celebrity couple Julius Owino alias Juliani and his wife Lillian Ng’ang’a no longer follow each other on social media, raising questions about the status of their marriage.
The speculation hit a fever pitch when eagle-eyed fans realized that both Juliani and Lillian had posted cryptic messages after they unfollowed each other on Instagram, a move that sent the social media community into a frenzy of theories and discussions.
The two remain tight-lipped about the status of their marriage which has not been a bed of roses.
Made the first move
From the moment they started dating, Lillian and Juliani had to overcome insurmountable challenges that were meant to crush their love.
It all started with Lillian breaking up with Alfred Mutua who is the current Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection.
Lillian and Alfred Mutua officially announced their separation on August 15, 2021, two months after she met and seduced Juliani.
Mutua and Lillian were together for 10 years but everything went south and had to part ways.
She met Juliani in June 2021 and didn’t waste time igniting a romantic relationship with him.
Juliani opened up on his relationship with Lillian while speaking in a past interview with Saturday Nation.
The Dandora-raised rapper revealed that it was Lillian who first made a move on him when they met for the very first time.
Juliani said that Lillian asked for his phone number when they first met and also initiated conversations through text messages.
“She sent me a message on my birthday and we started having random conversations. I think she was attracted to my philosophy and she wanted to find out more,” Juliani said.
Juliani has consistently defended their relationship, stating that they were both single when they met and that Lillian had been the one to make the first advance.
Juliani and Lillian officially went public about their relationship on September 3, 2021, after dramatic incidents with Alfred Mutua.
Their wedding in February 2022 was a serene affair, and just months later, they welcomed their son, Utheri, into the world.

Juliani’s wife in a press conference on November 4, 2021, detailed her dramatic separation from the Labour and Social Protection CS.
Lillian disclosed that she filed a case at the High Court at Milimani for a restraining order against Mutua because she believed her life and those around her were in danger.
Lillian Ng’ang’a issued a long statement detailing the messy disentanglement from Mutua.
“Mr. Mutua is overreacting to our separation. Whilst I indicated that I wanted to move on with my life, he thought otherwise.
“At a meeting at the Windsor Golf and Country Club on 22nd September 2021, in the company of two mutual friends, and after the two criminal incidents, I requested him for a mature and amicable separation and reminded him that, after all, we were not married,” Lillian stated.
“On October 7th 2021, I filed a case in the High Court at Milimani for a restraining order because I believe my life, and those around me were in danger. I am publicly requesting Mr. Mutua to immediately return my property, cease threatening my life, and those around me and stop his arrogance, wanton abusé of power, manipulation and büllying. He needs to get a life and move on,” she added.
New turbulence?
With the Alfred Mutua drama behind their back after filing for the restraining order, Lillian and Juliani enjoyed marital bliss as often seen in their posts on social media.
However, the recent incident of unfollowing each other on social media has now poked holes into their marriage. This development has left fans puzzled and questioning whether their love story is facing new turbulence.
