“A pleasure to join the MBChB Class of 2024 graduand medical doctors from my alma mater at the AMSUN Finalist Dinner this evening as chief Guest and proud to resume my past decade-old tradition of supporting and sponsoring the AMSUN Annual Dinner for the newly qualified doctors,” Kalebi noted in a statement.

While his late father was a urologist and his mother an obstetrician and gynaecologist, Michael Augustus Achianja Magoha graduated in 2009 with a degree in Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).

Before that, he went through his primary school at Strathmore before joining Brookehouse for secondary education.

Just like his late father, the 39-year-old neurosurgeon enjoys playing the guitar in his free time. Before heading back home, Michael practised at South Africa’s Groote Schuur Hospital and the University of Cape Town.

The late Magoha studied medicine at the University of Lagos where he met his wife Dr Barbara Odudu- Magoha with whom they had an only child who turned out to be a passionate medic.
