Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua has reacted after Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga removed the iconic Azimio la Umoja presidential photo featuring her from his social media profile.
Karua who seems unbothered by the latest development while replying to a sharp-eyed netizen who shared before and after showing her missing from the profile embraced the move.
“Welcome move,” she said.

Narc exit from Azimio
On July 25, 2024, Narc Kenya announced its formal exit from the Azimio coalition moments after President William Ruto nominated four key members of the coalition affiliate party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to join his new cabinet.
The party’s Acting Secretary General Asha Bashir in an official letter informed the Azimio Secretariat Secretary General Junet Mohamed of the party’s decision.
“Kindly take note that our stay in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition is not tenable due to the prevailing political developments. As NARC Kenya, by way of this letter, we are giving notice to exit the Coalition as stipulated in the exit clause(s) in the Coalition Agreement. This notice is effective from the date of this letter,” the letter read.
Confirming the exit, Narc’s party leader said that their stay in the coalition had come to an end.
“Our stay in Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance is no longer tenable,” Karua said.
