44 passengers have been left sustaining injuries following a road accident at the Twin Bridge in Molo, Nakuru County along the Eldoret-Nakuru Highway.
According to a statement issued by the Kenya Réd Cróss on Saturday, August 24, 2024, a humanitarian organisation, 14 of those who were injured have been rushed to the Molo Sub County Hospital.
Kenya Réd Cróss added that 30 have been treated at the scene.
“Following a road traffic incident at the Twin Bridge in Molo, Nakuru County, 44 people have been injured.
“14 have been taken to Molo Sub County Hospital and 30 have been treated at the scene,” a Kenya Réd Cróss statement read in part.
Others feared trappéd
Kenya Réd Cróss however noted that its team on the ground had launched an operation to search for those feared trappéd following the accident. The non-profit organisation did not immediately reveal those who are feared trappéd following the carnáge.
However, it informed Kenyans that the National Police Service and the Nakuru County Government are actively involved in the operation.
The Saturday morning accident involved a public service vehicle (PSV) which plies that route.
By the time of this publication, the National Police Service (NPS) had not issued a comprehensive statement regarding the accident.
