Kenyan socialite and entrepreneur Huddah Monroe laments about being asked when she is planning to have kids and start her own family.
In a series of Instastories, seen by K24 Digital on Thursday, August 22, 2024, the businesswoman disclosed that she is tired of being asked when she will have children the moment she lands back home.
“Once you land back home, first things first is Utazaa lini! As if kuna order somewhere. Digithia!” She lamented.
She further added that individuals behind baby questions also want to pray for her to get married and have kids because, according to them, having a family is the purpose of a female gender.
“They even want to pray for me to have a baby and a husband; they say that is the purpose of a( female gender), God Abeg, ” Huddah added.
Huddah’s adopted child
In 2019, the beauty queen disclosed that she is parenting a child whom she adopted because her parents were not able to pay her school fees.
Speaking during an interview while in Tanzania, Huddah said she had met with the child several times and interacted, adding that she took up the challenge of financing the kid’s education after realising she wanted to go to school, and that is when she took up the challenge of providing for the kid.
“Napenda watoto sana na nina foundation yangu Huddah Foundation, and half of the money I get from Huddah Cosmetics goes to the foundation to help children who are disabled,“Huddah disclosed.
“Nilimuadopt mtoto because most of the time I feel like watoto kwa hii dunia hakuna kitu wanajua so they are very fragile na nilikuwa naona wazazi wake huyu mtoto hawakuwa wanaweza kuafford kumpeleka shule so kila siku nilikuwa namuuliza huyu mtoto do you want to go to school na nilikuwa namuona yaani ni dream yake sana she really wanted to go to school. So nikamchukua tu bado ako na mamake lakini, I still pay for the school and stuff like that.”
Time with Prezzo
Recalling running from home to spend time with legendary musician Prezzo for months, the Cosmetic CEO on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, opened up about her rebellious teenage years and the life lessons she learned along the way.
Huddah revealed that while she was on her rebellious streak, things got so intense that she ran away from home for two years.
“Adolescent life Despite that, my rebellious a*s I was a wild child! I ran away from home for 2 years, galavanting Nairobi streets some months with Prezzo,” Huddah revealed.
