ODM leader Raila Odinga on Saturday, August 17, 2024, graced the wedding of the son of nominated senator Hamida Kibwana in Karen.

The night event which brought together high-ranking ODM party leaders also featured a host of members of Parliament at a posh area of Karen.

Present during the colourful wedding were Raila’s wife Ida Odinga, Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Langata MP Phelix Odiwuor and a host of other invited guests.

Hakim, a son of nominated senator Hamida and Ramadhan India tied the knot with Amina in the ceremony held in the city of Nairobi.

Also present at the event were a host of women leaders including proposed Minority whip in the National Assembly Millie Odhiambo-Mabona, Likoni MP Mishi Mboko, Mombasa County MP Zamzam Mohammed and many other leaders.

Hamida Ali Kibwana was nominated by ODM to the senate in September 2022 alongside other female senators like Catherine Muyeka Mumma, Beatrice Akinyi Oyomo, Betty Batuli Montet and Beth Kalunda Syengo.

The ODM party also nominated Crystal Asige to the senate to represent the youth, while Hezena Lemaletian represents persons with disabilities in the Senate.
