Gospel musician Ringtone, whose real name is Alex Apoko, has denied that he was assaulted after he forced his way into a party that he wasn’t invited to last weekend.
The musician’s fellow artiste in the gospel circles, Weezdom, had taken to Instagram to allege that Ringtone was beaten up after causing chaos at a graduation party in Runda. Weezdom further said that Ringtone hadn’t been invited to the event.
According to Weezdom, Ringtone felt that he was a big-name celebrity who couldn’t be denied entry to the party.
When reached for comment, Ringtone refuted Weezdom’s allegations, saying on the said-day that he was assaulted, he was at a joint watching a football match with his friends.
“Had I been assaulted, I would have filed a report at any nearby police station,” he told K24 Digital on Tuesday.
“Those claiming that I was beaten up, are struggling gospel musicians who still live in bedsitters and are finding it hard to frequently raise their monthly house rent,” added Ringtone.
The Pamela hit-maker said the picture showing him bleeding from the nose that Weezdom uploaded on his page was photo-shopped.
