Saturday blackout to affect Nairobi, 2 other counties

Kenya Power has issued a notice informing Kenyans of an expected planned blackout that will affect three counties today.

In a statement shared via their official social media pages, the utility company which cited routine maintenance as the reason for the blackout said the exercise will affect Nairobi, Uasin Gishu and Bungoma Counties.

In Nairobi, the planned blackout scheduled to start at 9 am and end at 5 pm will affect Mombasa Road and Southern Bypass areas including Airtel Headquarters, KFC, Total Petrol Station, Ole Serenie, DTB, Headquarters, Auto Express, Farmers and adjacent customers.

Parts of Uasin Gishu that will be affected from 10 am to 5 pm are Chemtech Factory, Jua Kali and Mo Gas, this includes Chemtech Factory, Wood Treatment Poles, Jua Kali Market Centre, County Office, Jua Kali Primary, Jua Kali Police Post Station, Ngamia, One Petrol, Mo Gas Petrol Station and adjacent customers.

The blackout in Webuye scheduled to start at 9 am and end at 2 pm will affect Site and Service East, Webuye Town, Law Courts, Webuye Hospital, Nabuyole Boosters, Webuye police, National East, Pan Paper, Kwa Dinah and adjacent customers.
