Murder suspect Sarah Wairimu has moved to court under a certificate of urgency seeking to compel the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DII) to release her personal car, a Porsche Cayenne.

In an application filed by her lawyer Philip Murgor, Wairimu also wants the court to order the DCI and the investigating officer to facilitate her visit to her matrimonial home within seven days.

Wairimu, who was charged with murdering her husband Tob Cohen, wants the court to order the release of her matrimonial home keys after the said visit.

She filed the application after she lost a bid to have the DCI and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to be enjoined in her property succession case.

In her ruling, Justice Lydia Achode said the DPP and DCI have no interest in the family property succession case.

In the application, Wairimu had argued that the DCI had refused to hand over her matrimonial home on the ground that it is a crime scene and wanted George Kinoti and Noordin Haji to be enjoined in the matter interested parties.

The widow also wants the court to order the Kenya Society for Protection and Care of Animals, Karen, to release her two dogs, Major and Snow.
