TV host Shiksha Arora leaves KBC after 3 years

Renowned TV host cum news anchor Shiksha Arora is set to leave the Kenya Broadcasting Cooperation (KBC ) after three years of service.

Taking to her official social media platforms, the vibrant media personality revealed that she would be hosting her last show on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 9.00 pm.

Arora while announcing her exit commended her colleagues for the support they have given her throughout her stay adding that the experience in the station has been an incredible journey.

“My heart is overflowing with emotions as I type this. It’s hard to say goodbye to a workplace that I called home for 3 years & colleagues who have become like family,” Arora said.

“Thank you to everyone who joined me on this incredible journey on #EasyFriday on KBC for the past 3 years.”

While recalling her time in KBC, Arora disclosed that she has had an opportunity to cover general elections, and danced with big names in Kenya showbiz.

Narrating her achievements, the vocal journalist further stated that she has interviewed over a hundred celebrities and artists on her show.

“I covered the elections, danced with the biggest names in the entertainment scene in Kenya, and interviewed over 100 celebrities & artists on the show & what a time we had! We’ve laughed, danced, cried, and grown together on @kbc_television,” Arora narrated.

Arora further stated categorically that her exit from the media house is not the end of the show but rather the beginning of her new chapter which she is excited about.

“This isn’t just the end of a show; it’s just the beginning of a new chapter which I am very excited about. As I say goodbye to KBC, join me tonight at 9 PM, one last time on Easy Friday! Grateful for every moment and every memory on,” she said.

Arora joined KBC as a news anchor in 2021 and has been hosting a show dubbed ‘Easy Friday’ which is aired every Friday from 9.00 pm.

Media career

Arora first showcased her journalism talent at Radio Africa as a radio presenter on Easy FM in 2013 and later joined Media Max as a TV presenter on K24 in 2018.

Arora’s career is not confined to Kenya. She also solidified her international media credentials after making stints with Smoke FM and BBC in the United Kingdom(U.K).
