The late Jubilee Christian Church Bishop Allan Kiuna’s sister, Esther Wambui, has expressed deep admiration and gratitude towards her brother’s wife, Pastor Kathy Kiuna in an emotional tribute.

During Bishop Kiuna’s memorial service held on July 15 2024, Wambui’s words while giving her tribute resonated with love and appreciation as she shared that Kathy was the exact partner their mother had prayed for their brother to marry.

“Pastor Kathy, you are an answer to my mother’s prayers… My mother used to pray and she used to say, ‘Allan, I always ask God to give you a wife who loves you… because all you ever desire is love’,” Wambui noted.

She mentioned that their mother’s prayers were answered as Kathy embodied the qualities their brother needed to feel loved and supported.

Further, Wambui acknowledged that Reverend Kathy’s efforts to make her brother comfortable and happy went beyond the expectations of many.

Emotionally touched by Kathy’s love for their brother, Wambui extended her heartfelt thanks, recognizing the depth of Kathy’s commitment and affection.

“The way you have taken care of Bishop, nobody can. We thank God for you and we love you… And I know Allan must have met Mom she must have told him thank you for taking care of my son… Because Pastor Kathy you have done more than we would have expected,” Wambui added.

Further, Wambui painted a picture of her brother as a selfless individual, making Kathy’s role in his life even more significant. Wambui expressed her gratitude for having such a loving and caring sister-in-law.

In her tribute, Wambui not only praised Kathy for her unwavering love but also highlighted the blessing of having her brother in their lives.

“I appreciate you and I love you..you are an answer to my mother’s prayers, I could not have done that as much as I loved him, I could not have done it. Bishop was so selfless, from my young age, I must have been blessed to have such a brother,” Wambui added.

Kathy Kiuna’s tribute to husband

During the church service on Sunday, July 14 2024, at Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), Kathy Kiuna had the chance to honour the memory of Bishop Allan Kiuna.

Pastor Kiuna thanked all of the congregation for their tremendous support and explained how she and her family hoped Bishop Kiuna would survive.

Reverend Kiuna revealed, however, that the Bishop knew the time had come and wanted ‘to go home’.

“He kept saying, ‘I wanna go.’ We kept refusing with every fibre because he was my best friend… And I said to God, ‘You have such a sense of humour. I thought you’d rather take me and keep him because he had the vision of where we were going,” Kathy noted.

“ What I can say is I don’t know what to do. It hurts so much. It’s so painful. Everybody knows he was my best friend. I loved Bishop with every breath I could take, with everything in me.”
