Security officers at the Nyayo Stadium where Moi’s funeral service is underway were forced to remove a heckler.
The officers were seen on live television carrying away the heckler during the state funeral of Kenya’s former President Daniel arap Moi.
The heckler attempted to disrupt the service as Moi’s youngest son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, was eulogising his father.
It is not clear what the man was saying.
Several heads of state, former presidents and other dignitaries are in attendance at the state funeral.
Gideon fondly remembered his father as a man who put the nation first but also deeply cared about his family.
The Baringo senator caused laughter when he described his father’s lover for nyama choma (roast meat).
Gideon said that not even doctors could stop his old man from nyama choma.
He also described Moi’s forgiving nature which he experienced after he crashed a brand new car the former president had bought.
Instead of a sharp reprimand, Gideon said that President Moi burst into laughter on seeing his son carrying a Bible when he reported the incident.
“Unfortunately my driving skills did not match my enthusiasm and the new car was no more,” he said.
