The family of the general overseer and founder of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) Bishop Allan Kiuna has appealed for privacy as they mourn his passing.
In a statement shared on social media platforms on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the family, while making an official announcement of his sudden death, said they appreciate the love and support they are receiving from everyone.
“It is with heartfelt condolences that today we announce our beloved Bishop Allan Kiuna has gone to be with the Lord, “JCC statement reads.
“We kindly request some privacy as we go through this challenging time of mourning and reflection. As a church and as a family, we appreciate the outpouring of love and support, especially from our church family,” the statement read in part.
Kiuna’s death
Kiuna succumbed to cancer on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at a hospital in Nairobi after a long battle.
In 2019, the general overseer shared with the public his battle with cancer stating that he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma cancer which occurs when there are abnormal plasma cells that build up in the bone marrow and form tumours in many bones of the body.
Kiuna’s tribute
The church described him as an extraordinary man who touched the lives of many through his passion for ministering not just locally but globally.
“Bishop Allan Kiuna, the general overseer and founder of Jubilee Christian Church was an extraordinary man who touched the lives of many and had a great passion for ministering not just locally but globally,” JCC described.
“His unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to the church and community have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was not only a spiritual leader but also a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.”
The church further stated that more information about the funeral arrangements will be provided in due course adding that they have organised special memory services in honour of his legacy.
“More information will be provided regarding funeral arrangements in the coming days. We are organizing services to honor Bishop Allan Kiuna’s memory and legacy,” JCC announced
“Today, we welcome you to join us in praying for the family and church at large. With humility, we kindly ask for privacy during this time of mourning. Please let us respect the family’s need for space and quiet reflection.”
