Two National Youth Service (NYS) servicemen have been arrested for allegedly gang raping a minor in Runyenjes, Embu county while another man is on the run after defiling her stepdaughter.

On Sunday, the 13-year old girl and a Form one student at Muragari Secondary School, reported that she had been gang raped by the two men who were known to her.

Police have identified the suspects as Jeremiah Sobra, 19 and Jimmy Musili, 21, both based at the NYS’ Yatta Field Camp.

In another incident in Kaza Moyo village in Sarambei, Molo Sub-County, a man was reported to have on sevral occasions defiled his step-daughter from February.

The victim’s mother reported the matter at Mau Summit police station that the husband aged 46 had been luring her 12-year-old daughter and defiling her while she was away.

The victim, a Grade 6 pupil at Muchorwe Primary School did not open up until July 1, when she narrated the ordeal to her mother and revealed that the suspect had threatened to stab her with a knife if she told her mother.

The minor was then escorted to Molo sub-county hospital for Medical examination and later issued with a medical examination report (a P3 form) which confirmed that the victim had actually been defiled.
