A section of demonstrators on Thursday, June 27, 2024, flocked into the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) to express their frustrations and discontent with the Kenya Kwanza government.
In a video seen by K24 Digital, the protesters are seen accessing Moi Avenue and engaging the anti-riot officers as they lobbed teargas canisters to disperse the already forming crowds.

The protesters energetically chanted anti-President William Ruto slogans calling for his immediate resignation from office over incompetence and poor leadership.
This comes even as the president withdrew the Finance Bill 2024, which sparked nationwide protests earlier last week.
Earlier, a contingent of heavily armed Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officers was witnessed surveilling vigilance atop an armoured carriage as demonstrators continued with planned anti-government demonstrations.
The demos come in line with the ‘Seven days of rage’ action plan issued last week in a move meant to pressure the Kenya Kwanza regime to drop the Finance Bill 2024.

In Mombasa, protesters staged demos against the government and lit candles in memory of those who lost their lives during the anti-Finance Bill 2024 demonstrations held earlier this week.
Other counties such as Migori and Kisumu also staged demonstrations to express discontent with the Kenya Kwanza regime.
