President William Ruto has urged America businesses to invest in Kenya, East Africa’s largest economy.

“Kenya is open for increased business with the USA. A conducive and enabling business environment will be a focus area of my administration to spur domestic and foreign direct investments to create jobs and wealth,” he said.

The Head of State is attending the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

He is scheduled to address the high-level meeting on Wednesday night.

Ruto flew to New York from London where he attended the funeral ceremony of Queen Elizabeth II.

The President was accompanied by a delegation of leaders of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance on his first trip to the US since his inauguration a week ago.
