Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now claims he previously worked as an actor and a content creator.

Speaking over the weekend, Gachagua defended his move to attend Bahati’s event a week ago, which entailed the launch of the artiste’s reality show on Netflix.

Gachagua hailed dancing as part of creative arts, which should be promoted even at the national level.

“Even dancing is pure art. Those pure moves call for a lot of creativity. It is enjoyable to see people dance. It is even more enjoyable to join in the dancing. We were just her dancing with Bahati and he was showing us the moves and we are fast learners,” Gachagua said.

Gachagua who promised to support artistic talent termed the industry as promising to future generations due to the potential it bears.

“We want these artistes, these dancers, actors, content creators to make their talents income-generating activities. Let them make money out of their talent. We have seen what happens in Los Angeles. We have seen what happens in Nollywood in Nigeria. The other day I went to launch Bahati’s entry into Netflix. He has a good movie,” he added.

I saw some people trying to attack me because I joined content creators and actors. I was an actor, I was a content creator and there is nothing you can do about it. We’ll continue being with our young people. Nobody can keep us from our young people because they are vibrant, they are knowledgeable and very encouraging.”
