PHOTOS: How Millicent Omanga’s birthday went down

Former nominated senator Millicent Omanga celebrated her 42nd birthday in style with a group of close friends and relatives.

Among the list of guests who attended the exclusive party were East African Legislative Assembly Falhada Dekow and Nyeri County nominated MCA Anita Thumbi.

Also in attendance was Dagoretti South Member of Parliament John Kiarie alias ‘KJ‘.

Omanga turned 42 with a network of friends in influential political circles they showered her with flowers and birthday gifts.

On Friday, May 30, Omanga reflected on her journey as she celebrated what she called ‘a dream come true.’

“Today, I celebrate the beautiful journey of me. …I’m thankful for the person I have become. Cheers to the unwritten chapters of my life, where dreams come true, and every day is a new opportunity to embrace joy,” Omanga wrote.

The vibrant United Democratic Alliance politician honed her political skills at the hands of President Ruto after serving at the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) before being nominated to the Senate.

A ranking ally of President Ruto, the CAS is never afraid to showcase the life of opulence that marks her

social media pages.

Omanga’s life

But all was not rosy from the beginning. Born in Kisii County in 1982, Omanga enjoyed a fairly modest life until her father passed on.

She, however, managed to go through school and even completed her journalism studies at the prestigious University of Nairobi (UoN).

It is from here that the former nominated senator says she founded a business that would make her touch her first million Kenyan shillings.

Her business has since expanded and spread to industries like construction. She still does interior decor and imports high-end home and office furniture for sale.

Initially, the sassy politician had unsuccessfully run for the Nairobi County Woman Representative but was floored by Esther Passaris.

She would run again for the same seat in 2022 and was beaten again by Passaris.

Omanga is married to a medical doctor Francis Nyamiobo, whom she usually credits for being by her side for the entire 11 years of marriage.

Together, the couple are blessed with two children; Wayne and Maya.

Away from politics and business, Omanga is a lover of the fine things in life and her car game is open for all to see.
